Bob the Builder Legos

Beginning in the 90’s Lego finally started to partner with popular brands like Star Wars and Batman. When I fist saw that I could build an X-Wing fighter out of Legos I was pretty jazzed. That’s a toy a Lego/Star Wars fan simply cannot pass up, no matter what your age. As the years rolled on Lego expanded their line to include brands like Spongebob.

Unfortunately the later only has kits that are suited for ages 7 to 12. Meaning that when your well meaning father (mine) gives a Spongebob Lego set to a 3 year old (mine again) the parent (me) has to try to explain to the child that grandpa’s gift has to be put away. This scenario is probably not unique to my house. This is because a large Lego Spongebob won’t last five seconds in the hands of a loving 3 year old.

Now to my joy there is a product partnership with Lego and Bob the Builder. FINALLY a Lego set with brand recognition that a toddler can play with. The new Bob the Builder set is based on the Duplo line, not the standard (smaller) Legos of the aforementioned brands. Yes, now the little ones can enjoy the huge benefits of Legos while playing with a character they love. The sets are all construction based with cool tractors, cranes, backhoes, and front end loaders. Your kids can help Bob construct an array of projects from roads to workshops to a mobile caravan. Now if Lego and Dora the Explorer would just sit down and talk!

Currently there are about 6 Bob the Builder sets that range in price from $10 to $65. You can pick them up anywhere Legos are sold.
