I must admit that I’ve played my fair share of Mario Kart until my hands resembled claws and my eyes were bloodshot. My buddies and I in college used to ditch class just to play one more round of “Battle Mode.” This would probably explain my “D+” in Earth Science 101. Now Mario diehards can race Mario for real.
Mario has crossed over into the real world with the Giant R/C Mario Kart Racer. The Giant R/C Mario Kart Racer zooms around your living room shouting “lets-a-go” along with other phrases from the original Kart classic. Sadly Mario does not come armed with his “Karsenal” of banana peels and turtle shells. The kart’s controller is too cool, modeled after the N 64’s controller. The only difference is the antenna coming out of the top.
The Giant R/C Mario Kart Racer includes the 12” Kart, sounds from the Mario Kart game, and a five function remote control that can send the Kart right, left, forward, reverse and into turbo mode. The necessary single 9v and 8 AA batteries are not included. You can pick up the Giant R/C Mario Kart Racer from ThinkGeek.com for around $50.
